You treated chronic, disabling pane in my left shoulder just before and after this past Thanksgiving, and you strike me as the type of man who sincerely cares about his patients, so I wanted to give you this update. I have a hunch you don’t need the reminder, but I’m the 66 year old guy in super great shape.

We decided upon an injection, and I want you to know that it worked for sure. Circumstances also helped, as I’m a gym addict and would have found it hard to forego my workouts. But right after the injection I got a long case of the flu, stayed in bed, and sure didn’t go to the gym. Then, if you recall, I migrated to Florida as I do every winter, and having been sick, I was behind schedule to make that journey. So, after the injection I had a good three weeks before I lifted a weight again here at my Florida gym.

I was cautious and started to do my lifts with lighter weights, of course, and being very careful about form and avoiding anything that caused discomfort. Although you had written the referral, I did not do any physical therapy, but I knew pretty much what to do, so every second day at the gym I do movements designed to help the shoulder.

So you should know now that I’m cured. Of course, the shoulder is arthritic so I’ll never be near 100% again, but the pain is gone, and now I can do virtually any of the movements (in and out of the gym) that I want to. It took me a long time to get an appointment, but I did see a PA here in Florida two weeks ago and we went over everything. She did not feel I need any further treatment. I saw my own sports doctor this past week; he studied the MRI done by Zwanger-Pesiri carefully, examined my shoulder himself, and he feels that I’m very much on track. As this time he recommends no further treatment and the continued thrice a week physical therapy movements I have been doing.

Of equal value to me is the experience of being in your care. You are a super guy, with knowledge, talent, dedication, energy, and personality. Though I hope I’ll never need further treatment, I also know I will come to you immediately if I do.

My very best regards to you Tom – you’re terrific!

Dr.Weissberg and his staff are fantastic. He’s a straight shooter who won’t “push” for surgery if he truly believes you can recover without it. Definitely down to earth, and a phenomenal doctor. Highly recommend seeing him if you need an orthopedist.

Richard G.

Dear, Dr. Weissberg,

I wanted to take the opportunity to thank you for the surgeries and postsurgical care provided by you and your staff in 2015 and 2016.

Originally, I had surgery in 2015 and rushed back to work after only three weeks which proved to be a big mistake. My knee did heal and in about six months I finally felt great. In May of 2016 I made the decision that jumping on a trampoline with my granddaughter was a good idea. Clearly it was not. Again, I needed surgery but this time I decided to use better judgement moving forward. I rehabbed for eight weeks and have since used a lot more discretion and better judgement with the activities that I pursue. I’ve remained active and have almost no limitations. Yesterday I went for a bike ride today. At times I’m up and down ladders and in and out of cargo vans. All of this most importantly is pain free.

I realize that I’m a candidate or should I say will eventually need a knee replacement in the future, but my goal is to avoid this.

I just wanted to take the time to tell you ho please I am with the quality of life the last several years and to extend my thanks to Susan and the rest of your staff at that time for there professionalism, care and compassion. Wishing you and your staff the best.

Sincerely, Richard G.

P.S. The only reason I’ve been reluctant to write this letter is I’m somewhat superstitious and didn’t want to jinx myself  (only kidding).

Was treated at their West Islip location for severe wrist injury. Staff is great, very welcoming, polite, and professional. Tom is amazing, incredibly knowledgeable, explains test, treatment plans, etc. throughly, and is quick to answer any questions I had. They did everything they could for me before having to send me to a surgeon as a last resort when nothing else worked. I would 100% reccomend this practice to anyone that needs orthopedic help, you’ll be on the best hands!

Tom is super nice and knowledgeable. He helped me tremendously during my last pregnancy while differing from carpal tunnel! The office is clean and staff is great! Getting an appointment was easy while all parties managed their time wisely. Best decision was to go to Tom who was recommended to me by Doctors Care!

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THE CARE I RECEIVED HERE. DR. WEISSBERG DID AN EXCELLENT JOB ON MY SURGERY AND HIS PA HEINISCH REALLY LISTENED, AND DID A GREAT JOB WITH PRE AND POST CARE. I HAD MULTIPLE INJURIES AND THEY NEVER GAVE UP ON HELPING ME FIND THE SOURCE OF MY PAIN. NOW I AM WALKING AGAIN AND ABLE TO USE MY ARM. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.

I came to see PA Heinisch for an ankle injury and felt at ease right away. He was very professional and thorough with his treatment and also gave me great at home exercises and tips for me to heal quickly and painlessly. I highly recommend this facility, the staff is very friendly and you feel like you’re their only patient.
